Terms of service

By using This Week in Sheridan (the “site”) you agree to these terms. They’re short because the site is simple: it lists public events in Sheridan County, Wyoming, and lets you submit events and subscribe to a weekly digest.

Event listings are informational

We gather listings from public sources and from reader submissions, and an editor reviews them before they appear. Even so, events get moved, cancelled, sold out, or changed without notice. Every listing links to a public source — check it before you go. We aren’t the organizer of any event and aren’t responsible for what happens at one.

Submitting events

When you submit an event, you confirm that:

• the event is open to the public and the details are accurate to your knowledge;
• the source link points to a public page readers can check;
• you have the right to share the text you submit.

You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish, edit, shorten, and redistribute the submission on the site and in the digest. We may decline, edit, or remove any submission for any reason, and we don’t have to explain why. Submissions that are private events, spam, advertising disguised as events, or otherwise misleading will be rejected.

Accounts and the digest

An account is only needed for the weekly digest. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You can turn the digest off or delete your account at any time (see the privacy policy). We may suspend accounts used to abuse the site.

Acceptable use

Don’t try to break the site, scrape it at a rate that burdens it, submit false or harmful content, or use it to harass anyone. We’re a small community project; please be a good neighbor.

Our content

The site’s design, name, and mark belong to This Week in Sheridan. Event details come from their public sources and organizers, who keep whatever rights they have. You’re welcome to share links to the site and quote listings with a link back.

No warranties; limit of liability

The site is provided “as is.” We don’t promise it will be complete, accurate, or always available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for any loss or damage from using the site or attending an event you found on it, including wasted trips, ticket costs, or missed events.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming. Questions go to hello@thisweekinsheridan.com.
