THIS WEEK IN SHERIDAN
Privacy policy
Last updated August 21, 2026. Questions? Email hello@thisweekinsheridan.com.
This Week in Sheridan is a free guide to public events in Sheridan County, Wyoming. We collect as little about you as we can, and this page explains what that is.
Reading the site
You can browse every page without an account. We don’t run advertising or third-party analytics scripts. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps — for a short period to keep the site running and secure.
Submitting an event
When you submit an event, we store what you type: the event details, the public source link, and your email address. Your email is never published. We keep it so an editor can ask a question about the submission or let you know why something wasn’t listed. The event details, if published, are public.
Accounts and the weekly digest
Signing in is optional and only needed for the weekly digest. Sign-in is handled by Clerk, which stores your email address (and, if you use Google sign-in, your name and profile picture from Google). We store a record of your account ID and email, your digest preferences, and — if you connect Telegram — the chat ID the digest is sent to. We don’t see your password or your Telegram messages.
The digest goes out once a week and only if you turn it on. Email is delivered through Resend; Telegram messages go through Telegram’s Bot API. You can turn email off, disconnect Telegram, or both at any time from your digest settings.
Cookies
The site uses only cookies needed to keep you signed in (set by Clerk). There are no tracking or advertising cookies.
Who we share data with
We don’t sell or rent your information. It is processed by the services that run the site: Vercel (hosting), Convex (database), Clerk (sign-in), Resend (email), Telegram (messages), and Google (if you sign in with Google). Each handles data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Keeping and deleting your data
Submitter emails stay attached to the submission for as long as we keep the event record. Account data stays until you ask us to delete it. Email hello@thisweekinsheridan.com from the address on the account and we’ll remove your account and digest preferences, and ask Clerk to delete its record too.
Children
The site is meant for general audiences and doesn’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, let us know and we’ll remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date at the top of the page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
