Film Screening of "Meltdown in Dixie"

You are invited to join us for a special screening of current artist-in-residence Emily Harrold’s short film “Meltdown in Dixie” at Sheridan College Kooi Library on Wednesday, September 9, at 6 p.m. “Meltdown in Dixie” is about BBQ, ice cream, and the broader role of Confederate symbolism in the 21st century and the lingering racial oppression which symbols such as this help maintain. After the 40-minute screening, we will have a brief Q&A with Emily. This event is free and open to the public.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Out of the Darkness Walk

Whitney Commons Park

The Walks are an opportunity to find a supportive community of people who get it, to know you're not alone, and to make a difference together. Walks are between 1 to 3 miles and non-competitive. The route and additional information specific to the Sheridan County Walk will be provided at the Walk. Our program includes an opening ceremony, activities of hope and healing, resource tables, and complimentary honor beads for every participant.
